Edmodo looks like a social network like 'Facebook'. It even works a lot like a Facebook. But in Edmodo teachers can start online discussions, teaches can create teacher made quizzes, you can even assess on separate Common Core Standards.

Students make webpages that can have several creators at once. Very easy to use. Luckey has used this with 4th and 5th graders, They have an education side that allows you to setup sites for students. Teachers have to sign up as user and add students.

Moodle is used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other e-learning projects in schools, universities, workplaces and other sectors.

A Vintage photo blog featuring thousands of high-definitions images from the 1850s to 1950s. 

Khan Academy

Learn for free about math, art, computer programming, economics, physics,

chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more. 

Sporcle

Sporcle is the leading provider of trivia entertainment on the web, on mobile devices (not sure of content) 

Glogster

Create poster like bulletin boards online. Manipulate test and backgrounds, upload pictures. use to have loading issues. I you wanted to see one it took a long time to load. Maybe not a problem anymore.

FakeBook

"Fakebook" allows teachers and students to create imaginary profile pages for study purposes.
